Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Academy Gaming website and the community services we make available through it. By using the site, joining our Discord, applying for a partnership, or connecting to our game servers, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

You must be at least 13 years old to use this site, and older where your local law, a platform we use, or a game's own terms sets a higher minimum age. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use our services with the involvement of a parent or guardian. We may decline or end access where we reasonably believe an age requirement is not met.

Academy Gaming exists to be a welcoming, non-toxic place to play. When using our site, servers, events, or Discord you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or discriminate against anyone;
• post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content;
• cheat, exploit, use unauthorized third-party software, or grief other players on our servers;
• spam, advertise, recruit, or solicit without permission from our staff;
• share other people's personal information without their consent;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to our site, servers, or systems;
• break the law or the terms of any game or platform we use together.

Our staff may issue warnings, remove content, mute, kick, suspend, or permanently ban accounts at their discretion in order to keep the community safe. Additional rules published in our Discord or on individual game servers apply alongside these terms.

When you send us a contact message, partner application, clip, screenshot, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant Academy Gaming a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, review, reproduce, and display that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the community, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Submitting an application does not create a partnership, employment relationship, or any obligation on our part. We may accept, decline, or stop reviewing any submission at our discretion.

The Academy Gaming name, logo, emblem, site design, text, and original graphics are owned by Academy Gaming LLC and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them commercially without our written permission.

Game titles, artwork, screenshots, and trademarks shown on this site belong to their respective publishers and developers. They are used for identification and community purposes only. Academy Gaming is an independent community and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher unless we state so explicitly.

Our site links to third-party services including Discord, social platforms, our game hosting provider, and our merchandise store. Those services are operated by others under their own terms and privacy policies, and any purchase, account, or dispute involving them is between you and that provider. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

We work hard to keep our site, servers, and events running, but we provide them on an as-available basis. Features, servers, events, and community programs may change, be suspended, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice. Scheduled events may be rescheduled or cancelled.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site and our community services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Academy Gaming LLC and its staff and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the site or our community services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including certain consumer rights in the EEA and the UK.

We may suspend or end your access to the site, our servers, or our community at any time if you breach these terms or our community rules, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect our members, staff, or systems. You may leave the community at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Academy Gaming LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

We may update these Terms of Service as our community and services evolve. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
